Demand reduces pressure on Indian cotton prices

On the 26th, due to the decrease in demand and the increase in arrivals, Indian cotton prices are under pressure. In Sangashtra, the price of Sankar-6 dropped by 200 rupees to 32,900-33,200 rupees/candy (356 kilograms). The price of V-797 varieties is 28,000-28,200 rupees/candy.

A cotton broker living in Rajkot said that textile mills have reduced their purchases because the demand for yarns has fallen and the export volume has been low. Therefore, prices may remain low this week.

In Rajkot, Kapas cotton prices fell by 5-7 rupees to 830-860 rupees/20 kilograms. In Maharashtra, kapas traded at 800-850 rupees/mand. In Gujarat, the transaction price is about 12,000 rupees. The total number of arrivals in the country is about 100,000 bags.
